Joel and I had a dream. It was the same dream that our grandparents had sixty years ago. We sat looking out the windows of our cottage and watched the sun set over our lake, and we dreamed of the day when we would watch the sunset every day, not just the days of the summer. You have all helped to make our dream come true. Because of your meticulous craftsmanship and caring touches, you have not only built for us a beautiful home, but also created a warm and loving environment for us to share with our friends and family for many, many years. For your many kindnesses and generous suggestions, we are very thankful. It isn't often that one can actually participate in a dream coming true. There have been five generations of the Bussell Family living on this land, and now we have fulfilled our goal of building our permanent home here.

As the Holiday Season approaches, we would like to wish you and your families a joyful year... a year of good health, prosperity, pleasure from your family, and a time of peace.

Bobbi and I just noted that we've been in our new home for six months, and we wanted to tell you that WE JUST LOVE THE HOUSE!

Thanks to both of you and your fine craftsmen, we are finding the house as comfortable as we hoped. The excitement and involvement of building the house has now been replaced by the day-to-day enjoyment of living in our home. Your attention to detail, including the prompt follow-up on the few minor problems we found, has obviously made our first custom building experience a delightful one. You were recommended to us as a "class builder" and you have certainly live up to that distinction.

Dear Janet and Jim:

On this second anniversary of moving into our home located in Pheasant Hills, I wanted to take a few minutes to let you know how proud and pleased we are with our home. Both of you and Chris and the entire Compo staff have created our beautiful "Dream Home", which makes returning home a very pleasurable experience.

When we entered into this project in December 1986, Diana and I had never built a home. We were somewhat apprehensive due to the horror stories we had heard form other people who had constant problems with their builders. During the course of building our home, we never had any of these experiences with you. In fact we remained friends during and after the completion of our home. We were told that you would take one year to build our home from the time you broke ground. you broke ground in March 1987, and we took occupancy in March 1988, even though we didn't actually move in until April 2, 1988.

We were so pleased with the quality of your design abilities and the quality of your workmanship, that we contracted with you in May 1988 to design and build our deck. The outstanding deck which was designed by Chris and build by your staff was truly an enhancement to our beautiful home. I have looked at many decks built by other companies, and have yet to see the quality of workmanship or materials that we have.

In May 1989 we asked Chris to design and build our sunroom. Our greatest fear was that the sunroom would look like an addition, and not match the rest of the house. Chris assured us that the sunroom would match, and that we would never realize this fear. Our sunroom is perfect! It looks like it was part of the original structure with the deck built around it.

We were unexpectedly surprised to see all the pictures of our home on display at the 1990 Home Builder's Show. We were very proud walking through your exhibit and seeing our home displayed so often.

Needles to say, Diana and I have been extremely happy with all of the work you have done for us. you strive for excellence in design, materials, and workmanship. I am sure that when we decide to finish our basement, that we will be calling on James D. Compo, Inc.!

Diana and I would be very proud to show our home, deck, or sunroom to any of your prospective clients as a example of you beautiful work. Also, we would be happy to provide any of your clients with a letter of reference on your technical abilities, or talk with any of them. Please call us if we can help you in any way.

After almost two years, we continue to enjoy the beautiful home that you built for us. When we compare our home to those of other builders we are amazed at the outstanding quality and workmanship of James D. Compo Inc. While building our house, Jim and David and Chris Compo paid attention to every last detail. Their high standards and eye for perfection is what really distinguishes a standards and eye for perfection is what really distinguishes a Compo home. When friends and relatives visit they always comment on the excellent craftsmanship throughout the house.

One sure test of a superior builder is that number of serious problems encountered down the road. All houses look great when first built, but do they stand the test of time? We are delighted to say that to date we have experienced no major problems with our house. It is Compo's policy to inspect a house after the first year and make any necessary repairs. Some minor problems developed such as a squeak in the kitchen floor and a few nail pops in the drywall. We appreciate Dan Welch's speedy and thorough correction of these problems. The repair department that Mr. Welch oversees is even more evidence that James D. Compo is a customer driven corporation.

I would also like to thank Janet Compo for all the time she spent with us designing our "dream home" while staying within our budget. Everyone at Compo's was a pleasure to work with and building our home was truly an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend James D. Compo Inc. and it would be my pleasure to give any of you potential customers a personal reference.
